Kenn White: I've always loved drawing cartoons and caricatures. I contributed a weekly comic strip, Thelma McGuffy, to a local newspaper for a number of years, and a short-lived single panel cartoon, The White House, (family life with two active girls and a beautiful wife) for Canadian Publishers. Creating a comic strip is like telling yourself jokes while locked inside a closet; you wonder if anyone, besides yourself, is laughing. But, then there's drawing caricatures at private parties, and community events. It’s like stand up comedy—you're out front (which is a risk) and you get an immediate positive response from your audience.
